Preserving the key features of the long rifle, we offer the Golden Age sets with 42" and 44" long octagon swamped barrels. The forearms on these model are not carved forward of the lock mortise. Only the butt-stock (to include the fitting of the buttplate), wrist, lock mortise, barrel channel, ramrod groove and ramrod hole are carved/inletted. The tang, sideplate, trigger and triggerguard, and ramrod pipes are not inletted on the Golden Age stocks.
